Different Styles of Brow Lamination

Brow Lamination has become one of the most popular services in the beauty industry! It is the chemical process of straightening and smoothing the hair of your brows. By smoothing out each individual strand of hair, you are able to use the full length of the hair to give brows a fuller appearance. Also, Lamination is perfect for anyone wanting a "fluffier" looking brow.

Brow Lamination pairs perfectly with Brow Tinting! When done together, these two services can be an absolute game changer!

There are a few tips to keep in mind when it comes to Brow Lamination, though. It's important to wait 6 to 8 weeks between Lamination appointments. Remember: this is a chemical process. You can easily over process the hair if it's done too often. If your hair is very fine, space your appointments out by 8 weeks.

There is more than one way to Laminate! Each artist will have their own style preference. I customize each Brow Lamination to suit my clients style and needs.

1. High Volume Lamination

This style of Lamination lifts each strand of hair sky high! It's ultra-fluffy and leans a bit more dramatic than some would prefer. Keep in mind, brows can be Laminated this way but they don't have to stay this way! The hair can be restyled to look more toned down after the appointment.

2. Natural High Volume Lamination

Natural High Volume Lamination is the more relaxed sister of the ultra-fluffy brow. You still get some of the fluff with a little less drama!

3. Subtle Brow Lift

This style is most popular among my clientele. You get a little fluff with a lot more definition at the top of the brow. To achieve this look, I first brush the hair upward at a slight angle. Then I use a tiny brow spoolie to comb the hairs at the very top of the brow. I use the spoolie to create a very crisp, defined edge.

4. Classic Brow (No Lamination)

Finally, there is the Classic Brow. This is my style of choice 90% of the time. To achieve this look:

- Have your brows groomed once every 3 to 4 weeks.

- Define your brow shape with your For the Love of Brows pencil.

- Set your masterpiece with the *new* For the Love of Brows clear brow gel!

I created these examples to help you communicate with your brow professional. Visuals like these will help tremendously when you're trying to convey what you want! Above all else, remember - have fun with it! Brow shaping is art. It's part of our unique self expression. There is no right or wrong way about it. Happy styling babes!

xoxo,

Marisa
