A New Year, A New Blog

Updated: Jan 23, 2023

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were merry and bright. 2022 was the best year in so many ways. In November, over one hundred and thirty of our closest family and friends traveled to Tucson, Arizona to celebrate our wedding. The historic Lodge on the Desert was the perfect backdrop to our special day with its cactus gardens and unique Sonoran touches. As a former makeup artist, I’ve experienced countless wedding days with many brides. It was surreal to finally live my own! Months of preparation culminated into a magical day that was everything I dreamt it would be.

Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain

Twelve days later we were off to Spain! We planned our honeymoon around a beautiful city in the Basque region of Spain called San Sebastian. San Sebastian is nestled along the northern coast of Spain near the French border. It’s known for its stunning beaches and food focused culture. We chose to go there because of its reputation for being a foodie paradise and let me tell you- it did not disappoint! We were met with dishes and flavors we had never encountered before. Have you ever eaten a barnacle? I have and they are delicious!

There is more to San Sebastian than just food, though. In the morning, we strolled the scenic boardwalk along Playa de la Concha. We passed time in the afternoon touring the aquarium and visiting their art museums. In the evening, we shopped the seasonal Christmas markets along the Urumea river. Our honeymoon was just as romantic and picturesque as I hoped it would be and I have my amazing husband to thank for that. It was the perfect way to begin this chapter of married life.

Now, a new year has begun and with that comes some goal setting. I intend to use my space here as an educational platform for clients and artists alike. I’ll be sharing more of my own personal journey as a woman on the road to self discovery and growth. I’d also love to learn more about YOU in 2023! What content would you like to see? What burning questions do you have about brows and beauty? Send in your suggestions to info@fortheloveofbrows.com. I’m all ears!

I’ll catch you all here for my next post on eyebrow service specialties. As they say in basque country, gero arte! (See you later!)

xo,

Marisa
